Palmer Trinity Celebrates Passover and Easter at Chapel Service

On Thursday, April 6, during Passover, we celebrated the Easter/Passover Chapel service with the theme of "dancing," inspired by the Song of Miriam in the book of Exodus. After a Maya Angelou quote on dancing read by Mr. Roberts, Mr. Micah Whitley opened the service with the song, “What the World Needs Now,” by Dionne Warwick and Burt Bacharach.

To continue with the theme of dancing, Aly Zamek '24 read, "Dance is in the Bible with King David dancing for the Lord and Miriam dancing after the escape from Egypt. Dancing is an expression of a multitude of emotions."

Three performances followed, including Emily Bloom '26 dancing to Rhianna's "We Found Love," among other songs. Kayliah Limsang '24 and Noelani Sadler '24 read the Gospel reading (Matthew 5: 2-12). There was also a performance from theater students, Katerina Morin '26, Julia da Costa '26, and Florencia Nieto '26 who sang "On the Willows" from Godspell. Finally, Chaplain Mary Ellen Cassini welcomed everyone to receive communion, or matzah as an alternative.
