Palmer Trinity is offering an after-school academic program for middle school students during both Semester 1 and Semester 2. The program will be led by our learning specialist with expertise in executive functioning skills and academic development. The sessions focus on developing executive functioning and study skills. Students will learn how to fully embrace the benefits of their independent study time.
Chess develops the ability to see from someone else's perspective. Through these lessons, players will learn to anticipate an opponent's next moves and develop the ability to adopt the other person's perspective. Regular practice can improve your cognitive function, helping you to become more mentally sharp and alert. Learn about traps, tactics, and strategy in opening, middle, and endgame play from chess lessons once a week on campus.
During this course students will develop a professional résumé and cover letter and gain valuable public speaking and interview skills. They will also identify potential college majors and career pathways and create a strong online presence through a LinkedIn profile and digital portfolio. The course will also help students understand workplace expectations and essential soft skills, while providing them with fundamental financial literacy, including budgeting and credit management.
Palmer Trinity School’s Dance Team is designed for students to train in jazz, hip hop, pom and fusion dance styles. Dancers will work on mastering precision, team building and synchronization, while advancing dance and performance technique, skills, and tricks in a supportive and empowering team environment. This high-level training program is designed to develop strong technical skills, compelling stage presence, and a team-oriented mindset in a supportive class experience. Classes will build upon dance training, conditioning, and choreography. Each session Dancers will learn dynamic, upbeat pep-rally style team routines. Bringing together wheel throwing and hand-building techniques, offering students a comprehensive experience centered entirely around clay. Designed for grades 9 - 12, the program allows students to explore both functional pottery and sculptural forms, moving between the wheel and hand-building to develop both skill and personal expression. It’s meant to offer a rich, focused studio environment where students can grow creatively while deepening their technical understanding of clay.
Unlock the secrets of doing business in China - through the power of language, culture, and AI! This dynamic after-school enrichment course introduces students in grades 6–12 to the exciting world of Business Chinese, entrepreneurship, and professional etiquette in Chinese culture.
Our program is focused on using the engineering design process to come up with solutions to problems with 3D design and printing. As well as developing fundamental skills such as drawing multi-view sketches, applying hands on tools, using computer aided design software, and learning the basics of soldering on circuit boards. From creating an efficient hydraulic claw or building bridges with sound structural integrity, we will be improving our logical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
