Congratulations to Sebastian Rojas and George Stark who will be continuing their athletic careers at the NCAA level.
Sebastian Rojas, in addition to his time spend on the Varsity Boys Soccer team, is a back-to-back Miramar Cup champion as a member of Miami FC and Strikers FC and has won the GFL Cup in Germany. Sebastian has signed to play Soccer at Piedmont University.
George Stark will continue his Cross Country/Track & Field career at Arizona State University. Stark has been selected to an All-Dade team seven times, including First Team All-Dade in 2019 for Cross Country. Stark has also medaled at the State level multiple times and is the school record holder as a member of the 4x400m and 4x800m relay teams.
Earlier today, Brandon Pottinger and Francesca Salvato signed to continue their careers at the NCAA level while surrounded by family, friends, teachers, and coaches.
Pottinger will continue his Track & Field career at North Carolina A&T. Pottinger was the 2021 FHSAA Class 1A State Champion in the High Jump, the first Falcon to win a Track & Field State Championship since 1993. He was named First Team All-Dade in the High Jump and Second Team All-Dade in the 4x100m in 2021. Pottinger also holds the school record for the 100m, 200m, High Jump, Long Jump, and as a member of the 4x100m, 4x200m, and 4x400m teams.
Salvato signed to the College of Charleston Tennis program. In her career at PTS, Salvato was named First Team All-Dade in 2019 and was the FHSAA Class 1A State Runner-Up that year. Salvato has kept her position as #1 Singles Player at PTS since her freshman year and is also a Level 5 USTA Tournament Champion.

Congratulations to Kyndal Royal who has signed to continue on his football career at the collegiate level and committed to Delaware State University.
Royal was honored four times by the Miami Herald as he was selected to the All-Dade Third Team in 2017 and 2018 and named an All-Dade Honorable Mention in 2016 and 2019. Royal was also selected to the South Florida Independent Football All-Conference First Team in 2020 and Second Team in 2019.
Royal was a leader in the Falcons secondary for the past five years and also handled kick returns. He finished his high school career with 128 tackles, nine interceptions, and six fumbles recovered. Best of luck to Kyndal and we can't wait to see what the future has in store!
Congratulations to Georgia Malueg (California Institute of Technology - Soccer), Andrew Waldman (Occidental College - Basketball), and Caleb Young (Delaware State University - Football) for signing to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Malueg, Waldman, and Young were surrounded by family, friends, coaches, and administrators to commemorate the moment.
Malueg was a star on the Varsity Girls Soccer team for the past five years. She was selected by the Miami Herald to the All-Dade First team in 2019 and 2020, the All-Dade Third Team in 2017, and as an All-Dade Honorable Mention in 2021.
Waldman was a three-year letterman for the Varsity Boys Basketball team. In addition to being named to the All-Dade Second Team (2021), All-Dade Third Team (2019), and an All-Dade Honorable Mention (2020), Waldman entered the 1,000 point club this year and leaves Palmer Trinity as the record holder for rebounds in a game with 22, Field Goal Percentage in a season (134/267, 50% in 2019), and Career Field Goal Percentage (318/678, 47%).
Young was a force on the Offensive and Defensive Lines for the Varsity Football team the past three years. He was named to the All-Dade Second Team in the Fall of 2019 and as an All-Dade Honorable Mention in 2018. Young was also named First Team All-Conference the past two seasons. He finished second on the team in both tackles and sacks as a Senior.
We can't wait to see what is in store next for these three Falcons and we are so proud of all they accomplished here at Palmer Trinity!
Congratulations to Alejandro Cortinas on his commitment and signing to Macalester College to continue his football career. Cortinas has been a key piece of the Offensive and Defensive lines for the Falcons over the past four years. He was named to the All-Dade Third Team in 2018 and to the Florida Independent Football Conference Second and Third Team in 2019 and 2018, respectively. In addition to his four years on the football team, Cortinas lettered three years as a member of the Baseball team and participated in one year of cheerleading and wrestling. While we will miss you and the energy and enthusiasm you brought to Palmer Trinity Athletics, we can't wait to see what the future has in store for you!
Congratulations to Gabriel Rodriguez who officially signed with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to play Baseball while surrounded by family, friends, teachers, and coaches. Rodriguez, who plays the catcher position on the Palmer Trinity Varsity Baseball team, was selected to the South Florida Baseball Conference First Team in 2018 and 2019 and was honored as an All-Dade Honorable Mention both years as well. On top of all of Rodriguez's athletic achievements, he earned stellar marks in the classroom. We can't wait to see you step on the field here at Palmer Trinity for your senior year and all that awaits you in your future!
Today, surrounded by family, friends, and teachers, Cameron Piedra signed his National Letter of Intent to Duke University, committing to be a member of the Golf team starting in the Fall of 2020. Piedra has racked up accomplishment after accomplishment since his first season as a member of the Palmer Trinity Varsity Golf team in the Fall of 2015, his 8th grade year. He has been named to the All-Dade First Team every year from 2015-2018 and has qualified for three straight state championship appearances, culminating in a T-8th place finish this year. Additionally, he won the District Championship in 2015 and was District Runner-Up twice and the Regional Runner-Up once and is tied for the best nine-hole round in Palmer Trinity history with a -4 score of 31. Congratulations, Cam, we can’t wait to see what is in store next for you!
