Palmer Trinity School invites Students and Student-Athletes in grades 5th – 8th to experience arts, academics, enrichments, athletic camps and sports leagues.  You will have a great time making new friends while discovering something new in one of our exciting programs taught by some of the best educators and most successful coaches in the Miami Dade area.  We have something just for you!

    This Basketball Clinic will be run by Coach Manny Bloom and staff. Trainings are tailored to help players reach their full performance ability and potential through drills which focus on fundamentals, ball handling, shooting mechanics, defensive principles and conditioning.

    Join Head Coach Jason Connor and his staff as they train athletes to improve their scooping, cradling, throwing, and catching skills to play lacrosse.  It will enable a player to demonstrate the correct methods and techniques necessary for all levels of play.

    Come out and kick it with us to develop, polish, or simply just have fun with the game of soccer.  Palmer Trinity's Regional and two-time State Championship Head Soccer Coach, Eric Perri, will be implementing proper warm-up drills, team activities, and fun soccer games. This clinic consists of Group Stretch and Calisthenics Movements, Field Training (Solo Drills/Team Drills), and Creative Game and Competition!  This is a great way for your child to build confidence and learn teamwork while improving their soccer skills.  Coach Perri is the first Soccer Coach in PTS history to win a State Championship and back-to-back State Championships.

      This Dance Clinic will be run by Coach Janel Williams and staff. Training is tailored to help dancers reach their full performance ability and potential through strength, mobility, highly developed awareness, and control of their bodies.  Participants perform dances in any of several permitted dance styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, and tap.

      This Tennis Camp will be tailored to help players improve their skills, strategy, and fitness playing tennis on the Palmer Trinity School courts.  Players will be grouped in similar skill levels in order to develop each player to their best potential while enjoying the great game of tennis.  Coach Kevin Chow will focus on teaching forehand, backhand, overhead, and serving, along with a strategy for playing singles and doubles tennis.

          Join four-time Conference Champ Head Coach Mark Reese and his staff for this position skill training camp designed for athletes grades 6th – 9th.   The program will focus on the fundamental skills needed to be a successful football player.  Young athletes will train and have fun in state-of-the art facilities and using advanced equipment.

            This Soccer Clinic will be run by Palmer Trinity’s Women’s Soccer Coach Ifeoma “Effie” Dieke. Sessions are tailored to help players improve their skills, game knowledge, as well as working in a group and team environment through soccer drills, team and group activities, small-sided games, and competition.  Coach Dieke was a starter for the FIU Women’s Soccer Team from 1999-2003, played professional soccer for 16 years with clubs in the USA, Sweden, and Cyprus, and represented the Scottish Women’s National Team from 2004-2017.  In 2017, she was part of the historic team that qualified for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 and was an Olympian in the 2012 London Summer Games representing Team Great Britain as a member of the first-ever Women’s Soccer team.

The clinic will be tailored to help participants improve their skills, strength, and fitness on Palmer Trinity's Kipp Running Track. Participants will be grouped in similar skill levels and events in order to develop their best potential while enjoying the sport of Track and Field.

            The Summer Girls Basketball League will allow high school teams to gain experience, competition, and develop skills needed to improve their team.  The teams will play twice per week tournament style starting June 7th – July 2nd.   This is an eight-session league including playoffs.   All teams will play eight games.

              The Boys Flag Football Summer League will allow athletes grades 6th – 8th and  9th- 12th to gain experience, competition, and develop skills needed to improve their game.  The teams will play three games per week starting on June 7th – June 18th.   This is an eight-session league including playoffs.   All teams will play eight games.

              The purpose of this course is to introduce Chinese language and culture from the perspectives of arts, myths, movies, festivals, Chinese food, teas, medicine, and architecture, etc.  the audience are students who are interested in Chinese food, teas, art forms and language.  For those who have never taken Chinese class, basic phrases/knowledge will be reviewed.

            • Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology

              Welcoming All 9th - 12th Grade

              What is genetic engineering? How can the use of biotechnology help or harm us as humans?  Can our use of this technology change the world around us?  Affect the environment?  In this class, we will study the basics of genetics including reviewing DNA, RNA, and proteins and how together these molecules can be designed to create synthetic life-saving drugs and feed populations.  We will also explore the controversies and ethical questions surrounding genetically modified organisms and the use of technology such as CRISPR to edit human cells.  Students will breed plants and transform bacteria, doing hands-on genetic engineering, as well as learn about the technology being used in the most cutting-edge labs in the world.

              • Instagram Art Techniques

                Welcoming All 6th - 8th Grade

                Artists will enjoy experimenting with simple and innovative techniques of making art that include tips and tricks for drawing, and for painting such as dripping, melting, pouring, stamping, marbling and more.  We will use Instagram artists as our inspiration.  You will easily be able to create your own masterpieces!  During our final session, we will have an exhibition of our semester's art pieces and enjoy seeing all of our fantastic accomplishments.

                  Welcoming All Incoming 6th Graders

                  Catch a glimpse of English 6 in this introductory course.  We will start with a book tasting event at the school library, where students will be tasting different genres of literature and getting excited about independent reading.  We will also dive into the structure of a strong paragraph while working on our grammar skills.  Finally, we will be finishing with a short story bundle where we will practice many of the sixth-grade reading, writing, and thinking skills.

                  • The Power of a Still Frame/Story of Place

                    Welcoming All Students 9th - 12th Grades

                    This course will provide an insight to the historical and natural surroundings of the area near and around Palmer Trinity School.  Students will look at the area from different perspectives.  They will use their writing skills to tell a story of place and use photography to complement their story.  Students will examine the area from six different perspectives: spatial, cultural, political, economic, historical, and ecological.

                      Pick up and Drop off:

                        - Pick up and Drop off is only 15 minutes prior to the start time of the camp and no later than 15 minutes after program ends.

                        - All indoor camps are to be dropped off at the PTS Gym 
                        - All outdoor camps are to be dropped off at the Kipp Fieldhouse

                      Camp Cancellations:

                        - Camp cancellation is subject to enrollment.  Notification will be one week prior to the start date of camp.

                      Rain Delay:

                        - Classroom sessions will be provided for outdoor camps in case of weather delay.  Each coach will provide further information.

                      Lunch:

                        - Lunch is included in the registration cost and served weekly from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

                    • Athletes - What to Bring

                      Please bring a sports bag with a water bottle, towel, mask, and a small hand sanitizer.
                    • COVID-19 Guidelines

                      Due to the reduction of the virus cases, masks are optional for all camp participants during conditioning or competition.  (Participants are allowed to wear a mask at all times if desired).   Please practice social distancing and wash hands often.
