2020 PTS Virtual Art Walk

Welcome to our Virtual Art Walk! We hope you'll enjoy this "stroll" through the artistic creations of our middle and upper school art students.

In Mr. Moorhouse's classes, most of the pottery shown was made by beginners, who had just developed the essential skills needed for making simple bowls. The glazes used are food-safe. So, many of these pieces are being put to good use throughout our school community.

In Ms. Rivera's classes, students have learned about Land Art and created ephemeral installations using some of the elements of nature such as water, earth, and wind, or everyday household objects. You'll also find re-imagined interpretations of students' favorite artworks created in their own style, as well as works based on their own concepts and ideas in order to grow their artistic voice.

In Mrs. Wood's classes, you will find works created by beginning, as well as Advanced Placement, senior-level art students.  While AP students spent the year building unique portfolios based on their own guiding questions, beginning level students learned to create photorealistic charcoal portraits while on campus, and since moving online, have created a photo journal of their quarantine experience, artistically documenting their relationships with everything from toilet paper to family pets.

We are pleased to present this impressive collection of artworks from our talented students.  Enjoy!

Sincerely,
The PTS Art Department
