Sixth Graders Propagate Pothos

As part of a plants unit for science class, Mrs. Zurcher's 6th graders learned how to propagate a pothos plant.

 

By recycling and repurposing plastic cups, they will grow and care for their plant, record data and build a website to report their findings. They will end this project by donating the plant to the "A Plant in Every Classroom" program.

 

A Plant In Every Classroom is a non-profit whose mission is to help improve the health of students and educators by bringing nature into their daily lives. The organization works with schools to bring indoor plants to their classrooms.
