Palmer Trinity Middle School Student Performs at US Open
Congratulations Lucia Fernandez de Muros, who recently had the honor of performing at this year’s US Open Tennis Championships at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. Eighth-grader Lucia sang “America the Beautiful” between the men’s Quarterfinal matches on September 5th.
Lucia was one of thirteen vocalists between the ages of seven and fourteen who were chosen from among 300 hopefuls vying for the opportunity to perform before a live audience and televised on ESPN. Past performers at the US Open have gone on to participate on Broadway, America’s Got Talent, and The Voice.
All of us at Palmer Trinity School are proud of Lucia’s achievements and wish her all the best in her future endeavors!
