  • Varsity Spring Football Victorious

Congratulations to the Varsity Football Team on winning a shootout verses St. John Paul II on Thursday night.

Head Coach Mark Reese traveled to Boca Raton to test his young football team and the Falcons scored 33 points in route to an amazing victory!
The Falcons were down 13 points going into the second quarter, before Jalen Sloan scored one of his two touchdowns of the night.  Joseba Badiola scored a 3 yard touchdown with 5:47 remaining in the second quarter to tie the game, (also, one of his two touchdowns of the game.)
The Falcons then took the lead after an interception by Sam Andrew and a 1 yard touchdown run by Joseba Badiola to give PTS a 19 to 13 score, with 1:49 remaining in the first half.
In the second half, Jalen Sloan and John Malloy would score to give the team a 33 to 32 lead.  The Falcons defense would then help end the game keeping St. John Paul out of the end-zone on two key drives.  Diego Messmacher and Arturo Alvarez would make big solo sacks to help end and secure the game with a win.

It has been an exciting and eventful year for PTS Athletics.  We welcome the departments' newest full-time members, Tina Bustamante Rodriguez, as Administrative Assistant, Mr. Eric Perri, as Strength and Conditioning Coordinator and Mr. Daryl Maple, as Athletics and School Transportation.  In addition, we added outstanding head coaches, assistant coaches and team managers.

The Athletic Programs continued to flourish this year.  Next year we expect to open the South Campus Sports Arena with it's first home football game.  The Arena will also host cross country, soccer, track & field, and lacrosse.  The Athletic Department will continue to bring outstanding athletes and teams to our campus.

Student interest in athletics is at an all-time high, both in the Middle School and Upper School.  It has never been stronger, and we thank you for supporting a growing community of amazing athletes and leaders on our campus. As Director of Athletics, I thank you for your comments and questions throughout the year. The athletes, coaches, and parents have made me a better leader and manager. I look forward to an energizing summer and an amazing 2017-2018 school year.
