Congratulations to the Varsity Football team for their defeat of Miami Christian by a score of 21-6 in the first round of the Florida Independent Football Conference playoffs. The Falcons were led defensively by Kyon White-Royal with 12 tackles, three sacks, and five tackles for loss. The running game got it done offensively, led by two seniors. Joseba Badiola took 15 carries for 128 yards and a touchdown, while Alexander Navarro added 85 yards and two scores on 16 carries. Palmer Trinity (5-3) now moves on to face Palm Glades Academy on Friday, October 27th at home at 4:00 pm.
Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team for being crowned District Champions following their sweep of Marathon High School (25-19, 25-16, 25-18). The Falcons were led by Sofia Santamaria with four aces, four kills, and 20 assists. Natalie Cetta added six kills and 10 digs, while Fiona McLaughlin contributed five kills and two blocks. Palmer Trinity (8-7) will now host Florida Christian in the Regional Semifinals on Thursday, October 26th at 7:00 pm.
Congratulations to the MS Boys Cross Country team for winning the South Florida Middle School Conference Championship. Four Falcons finished in the top ten; Sebastian Salazar (2nd), Felipe Londono (5th), Eduardo del Rosal (6th), and Henry Stark (8th). Congratulations to our Girls MS Cross Country team for finishing fourth. Sofia Marcos placed seventh in the race. Great job to all runners!
Palmer Trinity honored all its Senior Football players, Cheerleaders, and Cross Country runners in front of a big crowd prior to Friday's football match. We thank them and their families for their dedication and hard work. Thank you Seniors!!
Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team for advancing to the District Finals after their defeat of Everglades Prep in three sets (25-2, 25-6, 25-12). Jessica Weber led the Falcons with seven kills and one block, along with Sofia Hidalgo's eight aces and two kills. Mackenzie Serrate also added six aces and 13 assists. Palmer Trinity (7-7) will now face Marathon on Friday, October 20th at 7:00 pm in the PTS Gym to determine the District Champion.
The Falcons successfully qualified for the State Regional Tournament by posting a 3rd place finish in the District Tournament at the Biltmore. Cameron Piedra blazed his way to a score of 72, good for 2nd place overall, to lead the Falcons. Kristian Fortis followed closely with a score of 75 (tied for 7th overall), with Robert Bistry (87), and first-time District participant Morgan Powell (93) rounding out the Falcons scoring for the boys. Pam Ascobereta maintained her excellent play by qualifying for the Girls’ Regional Tournament by posting a strong 97 in her first District tournament. The Falcons Boys’ team and Pam will both move on to Regional play next Monday, October 23rd at Crandon Park with an 8:30 am tee time.
Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country teams for finishing third overall at the King of the Hill Invitational. Senior Duncan Stoner and Junior Reilly May led the boys with top ten finishes which earned each a medal. Juniors Julia Irvin and Carolina Alegrett led the girls. The Falcons return to action on Thursday, October 12th at 1:00 pm at the Pine Crest Cross Country Invitational.
Congratulations to the JV Volleyball team for defeating Pace in three sets. Despite losing the first set, 8-25, the Falcons rallied back to win the final two by scores of 25-18 and 15-10. The girls will be back in on the court on Friday, October 13th, when they take on Gulliver Prep at 5:30 pm at PTS.
