Strong Start for Varsity Cross Country
The Varsity Cross Country teams are off to a strong start in the 2023 season. On Friday, Daniella Perez-Cartaya '24 and Henry Stark '24 each took home the Gold medal in their respective divisions at the Conquistador Kickoff Race at Larry and Penny Thompson Park with times of 20:56 and 16:15.
On Saturday, the Falcons hosted their first meet of the year and the Boys Varsity team took home first place with the Girls Varsity finishing as runner-up. Juan Pablo Bracamontes '27 led the Boys with a time of 17:48 to finish first, while Eloise Miles '26 set a new school record with a time of 19:56 for the Girls.
The Varsity teams will travel to St. Thomas University for the STU Bobcat Invitational on Saturday, 9/2.
