Congratulations to Georgia Malueg (California Institute of Technology - Soccer), Andrew Waldman (Occidental College - Basketball), and Caleb Young (Delaware State University - Football) for signing to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Malueg, Waldman, and Young were surrounded by family, friends, coaches, and administrators to commemorate the moment.
Malueg was a star on the Varsity Girls Soccer team for the past five years. She was selected by the Miami Herald to the All-Dade First team in 2019 and 2020, the All-Dade Third Team in 2017, and as an All-Dade Honorable Mention in 2021.
Waldman was a three-year letterman for the Varsity Boys Basketball team. In addition to being named to the All-Dade Second Team (2021), All-Dade Third Team (2019), and an All-Dade Honorable Mention (2020), Waldman entered the 1,000 point club this year and leaves Palmer Trinity as the record holder for rebounds in a game with 22, Field Goal Percentage in a season (134/267, 50% in 2019), and Career Field Goal Percentage (318/678, 47%).
Young was a force on the Offensive and Defensive Lines for the Varsity Football team the past three years. He was named to the All-Dade Second Team in the Fall of 2019 and as an All-Dade Honorable Mention in 2018. Young was also named First Team All-Conference the past two seasons. He finished second on the team in both tackles and sacks as a Senior.
We can't wait to see what is in store next for these three Falcons and we are so proud of all they accomplished here at Palmer Trinity!
