Palmer Trinity Senior Awarded Prestigious Scholarship

MIAMI — June XX, 2026 — Palmer Trinity School senior Brynne Sullivan has been selected to receive a $2,500 STAR Scholarship from the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) Sisterhood, dedicated to supporting women’s education. She was recommended by P.E.O. Chapter A of Miami, which has served the community since 1923.

The P.E.O. Sisterhood was founded in 1869 at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and provides educational opportunities for women nationwide.

Sullivan served as president of Love for Lotus, a club that supports women’s shelters, and as president of the Environmental Action Club. She also founded and led Blue Water Keeper, a student-led initiative addressing microplastic pollution in South Florida.

“Brynne is a young woman of stellar achievement, outstanding leadership abilities and with a strong vision for the future,” said Head of School Patrick Roberts.

She will participate in a dual-degree program at the University of California, Berkeley, beginning this fall and plans to spend her first two years studying in France, pursuing a degree in political science and law, followed by two years completing a degree in society and environment. Sullivan hopes to pursue a career in policy development or international affairs, working with organizations such as the United Nations.

The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide scholarships for exceptional high school senior women to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the United States or Canada in the next academic year.  For additional information on the P.E.O. STAR Scholarship, please visit peointernational.org.
