Equity and Inclusion

Palmer Trinity School is committed to fostering a community that honors the diversity of the human experience.

We are devoted to cultivating and sustaining a safe environment that empowers individuals and groups to discover and celebrate their identity.
We believe race, ethnicity, religion, culture, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, and socioeconomic status to be examples of what constitutes diversity in our community. Through personal and corporate innovation, affirmation, and education, we strive to build and support an open and inclusive community dedicated to the principle of respect. Ultimately, we are ever mindful of our call to be decent, loving, and responsible human beings.
Mosaic is an Inclusivity Curriculum that is integrated into the Advisory program in grades 6th through 12th which has the purpose of raising awareness on and affirmation of identity discussing issues pertaining to diversity and inclusivity. The goal of Mosaic is to promote the holistic safety of each individual in our educational community through a series of age-appropriate and relevant lesson plans that are co-created by both faculty and student leaders. These lessons are facilitated by teams of advisors and students who are appointed to our Student Diversity Council. Twice per month students are exposed to issues related to ability, cultural awareness, race and ethnicity, class, privilege, and socioeconomic status, gender identity and sexual orientation, and global citizenship. The discussions and reflections upon these topics promote a deep understanding of the multiple dimensions of human diversity, fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity in our school community, and with the aim of launching global citizens.
