The Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team capped an undefeated District Season with a dominating performance against Palmetto High School, defeating the Panthers 10-3 to win the FHSAA District 32 Title!
PTS will now advance to the FHSAA State Series, where they will take on West Broward High School on Tuesday, April 22 at 7:00 PM. The game will be played at Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pines (Directions on the PTS website).
Hana Borhani led the team with 4 goals and 5 ground balls, along with Monica Reinhard who had 3 goals.
Ana Casariego (3 assists, 2 ground balls) and Caro Casariego (2 goals, 2 assists + 6 ground balls and 5 turn overs caused) had their usual outstanding game as the Falcons dominated early and never looked back.
Sara Medina also had a good game with 3 ground balls and 6 turn overs caused, along with Valentina Lopez who scored a goal and had 2 ground balls. All-County Goal Keeper Galicia Rothe faced 8 shots and stopped 5, as PTS now advances to the State series for the first time in 4 years.
