  • S.E.A. Camp (Shore, Ecology, and Awareness)

    This camp is an all-day camp from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Palmer Trinity partnered with Deering Estate providing this unique opportunity to our community. 

    S.E.A. Camp will consist of THREE MODULES:
    Learning the Basics (Techniques and Equipment)
    Knowing the Bay Environment
    Exploring Biscayne Bay

    This program takes place on land and sea: canoe, kayak, paddle board, hike, orienteer, and learn nautical skills all while having fun outside!

    Share with friends nature-based recreational sports and rediscover the outdoors while gaining experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (S.T.E.M.) careers.

    Daily Plan:

    Monday, June 25th: This will be orientation day. We will be doing a lot of hiking around the 444-acres that makes up the eastern portion of the estate. There will also be a swim test, so please have swim attire and a change of clothes ready.

    Tuesday, June 26th: Canoe Techniques & Cutler Creek Paddle. Fish Dissection.

    Wednesday, June 27th: Kayak Techniques & FPL Canal Paddle. Squid Dissection.

    Thursday, June 28th: Seagrass Survey/Snorkeling. Animal Encounter.

    Friday, June 29th:  Paddle Boarding/Kayaking. Campfire & S'mores.

    There are alternatives dependent on the weather. While in the water, students should ALWAYS have to have closed-toed shoes on their feet (sandals, flip-flops, and crocs are not allowed).
  • Web Design and Development 1 - (Rising 4th-12th grade)

    Want to learn how to build your own web application but don’t know where or how to start? Learn the basics or improve your skills with part one of a 2 week, all-day course. We will use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create engaging and functional websites. Learn tips, tricks, and techniques used by leading industry professionals.
    *Students are responsible for bringing their own laptops to class (Mac preferred, or a PC).
  • Exploring Robotics - (Rising 4th-12th grade)

    Using Vex IQ robots, students learn the basics of software and mechanical engineering to first build, then program their own robots. Students will learn to program in RobotC which is built and utilizes the fundamental language C.
  • Dance - (Rising 4th-12th grade)

    This is a Performing Arts Camp designed to expose students to a variety of Dance forms, teach proper skills and have a fun time exploring the art of dance. The objectives of the 2-week sessions are to introduce, discuss and demonstrate a variety of Dance genres which will include Ballet, Modern/Contemporary & Technique (Tricks, Conditioning, Flexibility), Theatrical Jazz/Tap, Choreography and Hip Hop. Dancers will need to wear comfortable and flexible dance attire such as leggings and leotards/dance tops. Ballet shoes, tap shoes and sneakers are required daily.

    Dance Camp will meet for 2 weeks from Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Before-care and after-care are available from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. for an additional cost. The cost of each 2-week session is $600 (3 different sessions are available). Single Week reservations are also available for $325 for full days and $175 for half days.
