On February 12, sixteen Palmer Trinity students joined UM's Shark Research and Conservation team for a shark tagging research trip to Biscayne Bay. Overall, 1 Nurse Shark and 1 Atlantic Sharpnose were caught, tagged, and released!
The trip is an opportunity for students to become involved in real-time research. There are several jobs they can help with, including fin clips, body measurements, tagging, and keeping the sharks cool by pouring a bucket of water on them!
