Today in Rev. Dr. Cassini's class, Topics in Religion: The Journey, students heard the stories of risk by faculty members, Mr. Julio Cassarou and Mr. William Gonzalez, who escaped Cuba and came to the United States. The class also watched Kundun, the life of the XIV Dalai Lama and his escape from Tibet. Experiencing stories of resilience and tenacity, all three of these men overcame great obstacles. All rejected bitterness and regret; they live positive lives in freedom.
