Portait of a Graduate

We are off and running!

Thank you, all, for making our Opening Week such a positive one. As I mentioned at our Opening Chapel, we are "making history" with this first-ever Virtual Start, but I truly am so optimistic about what lies ahead, and so eager to begin this year together.
These first few days, too, have been quite exciting...Classes online, Zoom meetings, our first Chapel Service with over 1,000 in attendance, a Parent Orientation with well over 400 online, our amazing Faculty and Staff 100% Annual Fund support announcement, and our Student Life Wing Groundbreaking...We have so much to celebrate, and so much of which I am most grateful. Again, thank you for setting such a positive tone!

Just as I shared with you the Statement of Commitment last Sunday, today I include the Portrait of a Graduate. As you well know, this creation came from many good discussions in the Fall of 2014, and was introduced in April, 2015 with our Strategic Plan 2020. It is a wonderful reminder of our "Working Goal", and what we aspire for our students. As I share with you often, I sincerely believe we are "called" to do this work and to be part of this noble profession. This Portrait of a Graduate helps to confirm that notion and those feelings for me, and I hope it will serve as an inspiration to you as well.

Portrait of a Graduate
Palmer Trinity School educates students to be:

*Passionate Learners who pursue enlightenment and learning across disciplines with curiosity and determination.

*Global Citizens who strive to recognize their universal humanity and appreciate their responsibility towards each other and the world.

*Problem Solvers who work with others to find diplomatic resolutions to challenge and change.

*Ethical Leaders who inspire others to work with purpose, clarity, and compassion.

*Independent Thinkers who apply their critical thinking abilities to engage in discourse about complex intellectual and ethical problems.

*Critical Listeners who listen to understand, not merely to respond.

All the very best as you continue to lead your students, with this Portrait of a Graduate in mind. Have a wonderful week, and, as always, thank you for your Passion, your Professionalism, and your Positive Attitude.
