PTS Boys Basketball Plays Intercontinental Game

Aligning with Palmer Trinity’s reputation as a Global School, the Palmer Trinity Falcons Boys Basketball program hosted St. Kevin’s College of Australia to play in an intercontinental friendly matchup.

St. Kevin’s College is a renowned Catholic school in Melbourne, Australia that is home to over 2,000 students ranging from the Early Learning Center to 12th grade. The school opened in 1918 and recently celebrated its 100th anniversary.

The St. Kevin’s Basketball team is in the midst of its biennial trip to the United States that takes place during their summer break. The team has previously visited Dallas and Los Angeles before coming to Florida for this trip. Along with a schedule featuring games against Trinity Prep, McKeel Academy, and Posnack School in addition to Palmer Trinity, St. Kevin’s has been able to see some of the wonders Florida has to offer, including the Kennedy Space Center, an NBA game, and Walt Disney World.

Prior to the games, the teams came together to exchange gifts representative of each school, honor each country with the playing of the national anthems, and to pose for a few pictures. During the games, St. Kevin’s College came away with a 52-37 victory over the Palmer Trinity JV Boys Basketball team before the Varsity Falcons team evened the series with a 52-39 victory.

We thank St. Kevin’s College for visiting Palmer Trinity and wish them the best of luck in the rest of their games and safe travels for the remainder of the trip.
