Varsity Girls Golf Wins District Championship

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Golf team for winning the 2019 District Championship, finishing 25 strokes ahead of Runner-Up Carrollton. Remi Bacardi '25 led the Falcons with a fifth place finish and a score of 80 and was followed closely behind by Alessandra Lanz '22 (82), Pamela Ascobereta '21 (85), and Sydney Powell '23 (86). Hannah Grene '23 finished out the scoring for the Falcons. This marks the first time in history that the Varsity Girls Golf team has won the District Championship. 

On the boys side, David Fumagalli '21 sank a 10 foot putt in order to force a tie-break playoff hole vs. Westminster Christian in which the Falcons came out victorious to secure third place in the district. Cameron Piedra '20 led the way with a second place overall score of 74. Max Geslin '22, Morgan Powell '21, and Leonardo Fischel '23 also performed well. 

Both the Boys and Varsity Girls teams finished top three in the District, resulting in advancement to the Regional Tournament! The Regional Tournament will be held next Monday, October 21st at Eagle Trace Country Club.
