On Tuesday, January 1st, nine students displayed their artwork at the annual juried Beaux Arts Student Artist Showcase held at UM's Lowe Art Museum. The Beaux Arts Student Artist Showcase is a show which features select works from middle and high school students across Miami-Dade county.
The students featured were:
Carlota Martinez-Don (12th grade) Flora Real (12th grade) Miguel Franco (10th grade) Sofia Guerra (9th grade) Thierry Sanchez (9th grade) Sebastian Hellmund (8th grade) Marina Velis (8th grade) Tiago Abreu (7th grade) Isabela Tao (7th grade)
Sophomore Miguel Franco won first place in the High School Digital Art category for his piece, "Identity Silhouette."
