Japan. Russia map out economic plan

Japan and Russia held a vice-ministerial meeting on Friday in Lima to compile a work schedule for an eight-point economic cooperation plan proposed by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

​The work schedule lists concrete measures the two countries plan to implement, including support from Japan for urban development in Russia’s Far Eastern city of Vladivostok.​ ​Abe and Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to reach an official agreement on the economic cooperation plan when they meet in Japan in December.
