Palmer Trinity School is pleased to announce the addition of after-school enrichment programs for middle and high school students. We are excited to have partnered with several community organizations in order to provide these programs for our students. Classes will begin in September and will include dance, theatre, tennis, water sports, and tumbling. Class size is limited, so register soon.

Middle School Programs

  • Study Up - Monday 3:15 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

    Study up is a new after school program designed and taught by our learning specialist at Palmer Trinity.  Study up will provide an opportunity for students to improve on the following tasks:
    • Setting academic goals
    • Establish priorities
    • Manage time
    • Organize papers, desks, lockers, & other space
    • Speak & listen effectively
    • Work with teachers & peers
    • Read and understand textbooks
    • Take notes
    • Study for tests
    This course is geared for both the student that wants to improve on their academic standing as well as those that need additional attention in areas of weakness.
     
    Tuition: $50.00

  • Junior Soccer - Tuesday 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

    Junior soccer will provide the experienced player to sharpen their skills in the off season as well as an opportunity for the beginner interested in pursuing the sport of soccer. Emphasis will be placed on fundamental skills of the the game as well as learning team tactics both offensively and defensively. This program will be taught by our Varsity coach Eric Perri.

    Tuition: $200.00

  • Junior Volleyball - Wednesday 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

    Junior volleyball will cover the basic fundamentals of the game including serving, passing, attack, defense and setting. In addition, athletes will learn offensive rotations as well as different team defenses. This opportunity can help both the beginner and experienced player as the emphasis is on skill mastery and development. The class will be taught by former collegiate coach at Wake Forest University Val Baker. There is a minimum sign up of 10 athletes.

    Tuition: $200.00

  • Team Equestrian - Thursday 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. 

    Lessons/practice will give the participants the opportunity to participate as a team in various local competitions, though participation in competitions is NOT required. Levels from beginner to advanced are available. These competitions do have additional costs for those who choose to participate and are usually held in the Fall.

    Students and families are REQUIRED to visit Sporthorse Stables prior to registering online on the PTS website. Failure to complete both requirements prohibits your child from participation.

    Palmer Trinity will supply transporation for participants to the barn directly after school and return them to PTS in time for the 6:00 p.m. bus (parents are welcome to pick-up directly from the barn if that is preferred).


    Barn information: Sport Horse Stables (www.sportstablesmiami.com(305) 360-4104) is located at 19525 SW 142nd Ave, Miami, FL 33177. It's about a 15 minute drive from Palmer Trinity after school.
     
    Tuition: $380.00

  • Water Sports Program at Deering - Thursday 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. 

    The Water Sports Program is an after school offering at Palmer Trinity School. The program engages students in nature based sports while also experiencing the beauty of Biscayne Bay.
    • Students will be offered instruction in canoeing, kayaking, and stand up paddleboarding, develop new skills, and create unforgettable memories.

    • Students will take short and fun canoe, kayak, and stand up paddleboard trips in Biscayne Bay. The activities are led by experienced instructors who are knowledgeable about local marine life, navigational techniques, and First Aid, CPR, AED and Basic Water Rescue.

    Tuition: $200

  • Self-Defense - Monday 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

    The ability to defend oneself and acquire the strength and confidence that are developed are not mysterious secrets that take years to learn and apply. They are learned through a progressive training program that, when properly followed, develops awareness, as well as strength and self confidence. Using modern training equipment and up-to-date teaching The class provides an opportunity to learn a system of practical, proven self defense techniques and educate the individual in the strategies of personal safety and awareness. Classes will be instructed at Karate Sports Center 15305 S. Dixie Hwy in Palmetto Bay. Sensei Paola Jaramillo will be instructing this course.

  • Cardio Boxing - Friday 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

    A great workout for anyone interested in improving their fitness level. This class is flexible to serve the needs of all students - it will help beginners find a fun way to exercise, it will challenge advanced athletes to push themselves in a non traditional workout. Class format integrates combinations of punches, kicks, & heavy-bag work. Additional muscle and motion exercises are incorporated to strengthen and tone. You will have fun, reduce stress, & get an awesome workout. This class will serve a co-ed population.
