Palmer Trinity School is pleased to announce the addition of after-school enrichment programs for middle and high school students. We are excited to have partnered with several community organizations in order to provide these programs for our students. Class size is limited, so register soon. Classes are subject to cancellation based on enrollment.

  • Chess with Robert Ramirez – 6 weeks - $150.00

    -        Start Date - January 22nd
    -        End Date: Monday, March 5th
    -        Time: 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

    Mr. Robert Ramirez will be running our chess program this fall; he is a professional chess player with over 8 years of teaching experience. Mr. Ramirez earned his National Master title from the United States Chess Federation with a rating above 2250. As a professional, he has participated in several prestigious tournaments, such as the World Open Chess Tournament and the Pan American Intercollegiate Team Championships. The program will run for 6 weeks and is great for players of all levels.   • Dance Club - 10 weeks - $750.00

    -        Start Date - Monday, January 22nd
    -        End Date: Thursday, April 26th
    -        Time: 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

    This is a Performing Arts Club designed to expose students to a variety of dance forms, teach proper skills and instill an appreciation for performance and choreography aesthetics. The objective of the 10-week session is to introduce, discuss, demonstrate and review general dance vocabulary and movements for Classical Ballet, Modern/Contemporary & Technique (Tricks, Conditioning, Flexibility), Theatrical Jazz/Tap, and Choreography & Hip Hop. Students will practice and perform curriculum from all genres and will learn correct body alignment, strength, flexibility, coordination and technique.
    *If students demonstrate determination and initiative, they will be invited to perform in the Spring 2018 Dance Recital.
     
    The Dance Club will meet on Monday & Thursday afternoons from 3:00pm-5:30 p.m. The 10-Week Session will include 5 dance hours per week for a total of 50 hours. The session begins on January 22nd and concludes on April 26th. The dates are as as follows: January 22, 25, and 29, February 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 26, March 1, 5, 8, 19, 22, April 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, and 26, with a Spring Recital in late May.
     
    Dance Club Cost and Attire:
    Dancers are expected to be prepared for Dance Club and are required to dress in the appropriate dance attire, which includes appropriate hair. The Dance Club cost is $750 for the 10-Week Session and there is an attire charge of $45.00 for the purchase of the students PTS Leotard. Checks for the leotard should be made payable to Palmer Trinity School. This is a one-time fee.
     
    Palmer Trinity School Leotard Solid black sports bras are permitted underneath the leotard.
    Solid Black Leggings Long/ankle length leggings are appropriate. No capris or shorts. (PTS leggings are permitted and are $20 in the supply store.)
    Hair Neatly pulled away from the face in a secure ponytail. No hair clips.
    Shoes Pink Ballet shoes, Black Tap shoes and Sneakers.
    Jewelry No loose or dangling jewelry. No bead jewelry

Drop Off

Morning Session - Drop off for camp will occur in the high school gymnasium and will be available from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Afternoon Session - Drop off for camp will occur in the high school gymnasium and will be available from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

* Whomever is authorized to drop off your child at summer camp must come inside the gym to sign that child in.

Pick Up

Morning Session - Pick up for camp will be available to those students who are only taking a morning session course from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Afternoon Session - Pick up for camp will be available to those students who have taken an afternoon session from 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

* Whomever is authorized to drop off your child at summer camp must come inside the gym to sign that child in.

Extended Care - Extended care will be available to those students attending our afternoon sessions. Extended care will run from 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and will be an additional cost of $10.00/day.

Lunch - Lunch is included to all students who have registered for camp. Lunch will be provided in our Dinning Hall from 12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m.

  • Intro to Algebra I (Rising 8th - 9th grades) – $200.00

    -        Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

    This course is a review of the main topics in pre-algebra and an introduction to beginning algebra concepts. It is intended to prepare students entering an Algebra 1 type course. It will cover a range of topics including operations with integers, fractions and decimals, solving basic algebraic equations, simplifying algebraic expressions, graphing simple linear functions, and general problem solving. You will gain confidence in these skills as you prepare for the new school year.

     
  • Intro to Geometry (Rising 9th - 10th grades) – $200.00

    -        Start Date - Monday, July 30th
    -        End Date: Friday, August 3rd
    -        Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

    This course is a review of basic algebra skills as well as an introduction to geometry concepts. Both of these topics are useful to prepare students entering a Geometry course. It will cover a range of topics including solving linear and quadratic equations, basic definitions and postulates regarding segments, rays, and distance, deductive reasoning, and introduction to proof writing. You will gain confidence in these skills as you prepare for the new school year.

     
  • Intro to Algebra II (Rising 10th - 11th grades) – $200.00

    -        Start Date - Monday, July 30th
    -        End Date: Friday, August 3rd
    -        Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

    This course is an introduction and review of the main topics in algebra, intended for rising Algebra II students. It will cover a range of topics including equation and inequality solving, graphing, linear functions, systems of equations, exponents and polynomials, radical expressions, and general problem solving. You will gain confidence in these skills as you prepare for the new school year.
