The purpose of the Athletic Hall of Fame is to honor the achievements of men and women who have been associated with the School by recognizing those individuals who have made a major contribution to the success of the overall athletic program.
Arasay Guerra ‘06
Presenter: Coach William Gonzalez
Arasay began her career at Palmer Trinity after coming to the United State from Cuba, where she played on the Cuban Junior National volleyball team. She received Class 2A Second-Team All-State honors from the Florida Sports Writers Association after pacing Palmer Trinity to a 28-2 record and a district championship in 2004. In 2005, she was named Dade Player of the Year by the Miami Herald after leading Falcons to their first appearance in the girls’ volleyball state finals since 1977. After graduation, Arasay played for Florida International University and Florida Memorial University. She now coaches for South Dade Volleyball Club and Palmer Trinity School, most recently this Fall helping the Falcons reach the semi-finals in the Class 16-3A State Tournament. She has one son and lives in Miami.
Coach Michelle (Brenner) Mondell
Football, Soccer, Volleyball & Softball

Michelle, a former student of Palmer School, began coaching in 1985, volunteering as the Assistant Varsity Soccer coach. From 1986 – 1993, she coached many sports, including: 1 season Head Track & Field coach, 3 seasons Head JV Volleyball coach, 5 seasons Assistant Varsity Softball coach, 6 seasons Head Varsity Soccer coach. In 1991, Athletic Director David Hewett named her as an Assistant Varsity Football coach, and she spent three seasons as such. She was one of the first female football coaches in the state of Florida. During her time as coach, Palmer beat both Dade Christian, ranked #1 in the state at the time, and Gulliver. Under her coaching, the women’s soccer team was the 1st team to go to a district final game. She was part of numerous softball district titles. In 1993, Michelle was hired by FIU as Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. She helped lead the team to the elite 8 of NCAA Division I women’s soccer. Michelle continues to coach, now in her 30th year, middle school and high school sports at Ransom Everglades School, including football, swimming, volleyball, track & field, softball and soccer. She is married with two children and lives in Miami.
Michael Haggard ‘88

Michael played both varsity football and baseball as a seven-year starter on both teams. He quarterbacked the undefeated 1984 JV football team and went on to quarterback for the Varsity football team. During his time as a player, Michael led Palmer to two Conference Championships, a #4 ranking in the State of Florida and was 27-8 as a Starter. He made 2nd Team All-State his senior year and threw for over 4,000 yards during his four years playing Quarterback. In Baseball, Mike was a 4 year starter at Shortstop and led the Pirates to two District Championships, as well as three Conference Championships. He led the team in batting average three of his four years, batting .493 his junior year and .425 his senior year. Mike was recognized as an All Miami-Dade County selection in Football and Baseball his senior year and never missed a game or start during his seven varsity years playing both sports. Today, Mike is a successful partner with the Haggard Law Firm. He volunteers as coach of the RYAN Sports Flag Football team, who twice in three years have captured the national championship. Both his son and daughter, current Palmer Trinity School students, have played for the RYAN teams. Mike also volunteers as the President of the Palmer Trinity Boosters Association, and serves on the Palmer Trinity Alumni Association Board. He is married with two children and lives in Pinecrest.
