Brooke Kleber

Hello, my name is Brooke Kleber and I am a sophomore at Palmer Trinity. I define myself as a confident, enthusiastic and eager young woman who has a passion for business and helping other people. My motto for life has become, "getting out of your comfort zone". I have always believed when you get out of your comfort zone you will discover yourself.

Brooke Kleber, Walt Disney, Mohammed Ali, Albert Einstein, Pablo Picasso, Tom Cruise and Leonardo De Vinci; we all have something in common which happens to the gift of dyslexia. The brains of people with dyslexia are wired differently. Successful people with dyslexia share the tendency to compensate for things that our brain can’t do well by developing excellence in other areas such as problem-solving, people management, and creativity.

It is because of dyslexia that I have developed into the person I am today. I know that I struggle to keep up with reading and writing and that I have to work harder than most, but doing so makes me resilient and more determined. The perseverance I have learned shines through in all the various aspects of my life. I push myself out of my comfort zone and I am also willing to try anything new with enthusiasm.

It is through that enthusiasm that I discovered my passion for entrepreneurship. Since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to start a business. I would always think of business ideas and wish I could start one of my very own. Although I was too young to start a business my parents never stopped encouraging me to dream. It is through Agents of Change that I hope to explore the realm of social entrepreneurship so that I can help the people around me and my community.
