Congratulations to our six Falcons who were honored last night by the Miami Herald in recognition of their selections to the Miami Herald All-Dade First Team. Congratulations to Remi Bacardi '25 (golf), Carmen Gonzalez Del Valle '20 (soccer), Georgia Malueg '21 (soccer), Cameron Piedra '20 (golf), Franco Sluman '20 (soccer), and George Stark '22 (cross country) for all of their incredible accomplishments this year.
This was Piedra's fifth consecutive selection to the All-Dade First Team (2015-2019). The Duke University signee finished T-8th at the FHSAA State Championships this year. Gonzalez Del Valle and Malueg each earned their second consecutive selection to the All-Dade First Team for soccer. Gonzalez Del Valle led the Falcons with nine goals and four assists while Malueg added eight goals and an assist. Bacardi, Sluman, and Stark each received their first All-Dade First Team Selection. Stark finished Runner-Up in the District, Third in Regionals, and Ninth overall at the FHSAA Class 1A State Championships. Bacardi finished 33rd at the FHSAA State Championships as a 7th grader, on top of her Fifth place finish at Districts. Sluman earned his first selection to the All-Dade team in his first year playing for the Falcons which saw him put up 16 goals and 11 assists.
