Learning About Vicosity
“You’re moving as slow as molasses!” You have probably heard that saying before, but have you ever considered what it means? If you have ever poured molasses you understand that it is an incredibly slow process. This is because it has high viscosity!
Ms. Metzler's and Mrs. Zurcher's Grade 7 Earth Science students have recently learned the concepts regarding plate tectonics, faults, earthquakes, and volcanoes. In Andi's photos, she is performing a viscosity lab. Students observed and measured the viscosities of different fluids. They recorded their results and based on their data drew conclusions about lava and volcanoes.
