International Travel Speaker Visits Women's Studies Class

On Tuesday, January 21, Mrs. Sheree Mitchell visited Mrs. Massa's Women's Studies class to provide a powerful testimony on women leadership, initiative, and entrepreneurship.

Mrs. Mitchell is the President and Founder of Immersa Global, the first American-owned and operated boutique travel company in Portugal. She is an international travel speaker who has presented at the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, the New York Times Travel Show, the Travel Adventure Show, and the Association of British Travel Agents. She is the Sister Cities International Honorary Representative in Portugal.

Mrs. Mitchell has traveled to over 40 countries, lived on three continents, speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and some Italian. In her early thirties, she gave up a comfortable life and career in her native Florida to embark on a year-long solo sojourn around the world that changed the course of her life. Mrs. Mitchell is considered a thought-leader in highly-curated travel as well as in extended solo (female) travel. She speaks regularly at travel and tourism conferences throughout the U.S. and Europe. Most recently, she has been invited to design projects that use tourism as a vehicle to connect cities in the U.S. with cities in Portugal.
