Democracy in D.C.

Democracy in D.C. is the 8th-grade travel experience. Students will be exploring the capital of the United States. The travel experience will include visits to the Capitol building, the Supreme Court, the Smithsonian Museums, the National Mall's monuments and memorials, the Pentagon, and the Arlington National Cemetery. Throughout the week students will observe, discuss, and reflect on these themes:

History: Meaning and Mythology
Democracy: Choices and Challenges
Citizenship: Rights and Obligations
E Pluribus Unum (out of many, one)
