OUR MISSION
 
The mission of Auxiliary Programs is to provide enrichment experiences that enhance the lives of our students and community through activities that complement the overall mission of Palmer Trinity School.
 

WELCOME TO THE 2022-2023 ENRICHMENT EXPERIENCE AT PALMER TRINITY SCHOOL

Palmer Trinity invites boys and girls in the greater Miami community to experience arts, academics, enrichment, and sports. As a participant, you will have a great time making new friends while discovering something new in one of our exciting programs taught by some of the best educators in the Miami area. We have a course or class just for you!

  • PTS Upper School Coed Dance Competition

    This Dance Competition, instructed by Coach Janel Williams is tailored to help dancers reach their full performance ability and potential.  Training is tailored to help through strength, mobility, highly developed awareness, and control of their body.  Participants perform dances in any of several permitted dance styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, and tap.  Dancers will compete locally and state-wide in events in which individuals and groups of dancers from all different schools come together for the purpose of showcasing their routines based on overall impression, performance, choreography, and technique.

    Palmer Trinity JV Dance Team proudly represents PTS as a non-performance group.  Dancers will train in a combination of hip hop and jazz funk styles weekly.  JV Dancers will build upon dance technique and train to develop and advance leaps, turns, and tricks, while conditioning strength and flexibility to enhance skill level.

  • Middle School Dance Team

    Introducing Palmer Trinity School's NEW Middle School Dance Team.  Dancers will train in a combination of hip hop and jazz styles.  The team will meet once weekly on Thursdays right after school.  Dancers will build upon dance technique and train to develop and advance leaps, turns, and tricks, while conditioning strength and flexibility to enhance skill level.  This is a great way for the dance students of Palmer Trinity School to get involved and feel connected to their community and athletics at school, while representing their PTS spirit!

  • Speed and Agility Training

    Do you want the ability to achieve maximum velocity? Increase the ability to rapidly change direction without the loss of speed, coordination, balance, strength, or body control.  This speed and agility training session is designed to help students develop coordination, balance, strength, and body control.  Students will train with speed dot drills, Plyometric ladder, box jumps and hurdles.

    Spring Semester - January 5th - January 30th  (7 Sessions)

    Grades 9th - 12th 

    Tuesdays  - 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
    Thursdays - 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

  • HOMEWORK CAFE



    "Supporting a blend of study skills, tutoring, and daily homework."

    The Homework Cafe is an after school tutoring program that enables to learn, review content, strengthen academic skills, receive assistance with homework, develop study skills and organization techniques to help improve their academic performance.  Students are welcome to join the after school tutoring program as needed.  If students are facing challenges in specific areas, or simply need help with homework, they can come prepared with questions and materials to work on and the instructors are happy to assist.  Students of all grades can attend as many times a week as they wish. There is no registration required and it is free of charge. However, please contact Paul Zamek to add the student to the list.

  • CHESS CLASSES



    Join Dr. Harvin for our chess program this Fall. Enjoy playing and learning about the beautiful game of chess. The game of chess incorporates and encourages inquiry, strategic planning, pattern recognition, rule-based thinking, problem-solving, visualization, creativity, and competition.  Each session will include learning and playing through tactics, strategy, and winning combinations. The final sessions will culminate in a tournament with first, second, and third place trophies awarded.

    Cost - $50.00 / per hour

    This class is a fun and energetic form of dance cardio guaranteed to make you move! Have a wonderful time with friends and enjoy all of the latest hit music while you sweat your stress away.   • Payment

    Payment is due in full at the time of registration and prior to the student participating in the course. Payment can be made conveniently online by debit and credit card. 
  • Cancellations and Refunds

    A refund will be granted for cancellations made via email 14 days prior to the first day of the start date ONLY. Tuition payments will be refunded on a prorated basis only if a course is canceled by Palmer Trinity and an alternate offering is not available.
     
  • Safety

    A secure environment is the top priority of Palmer Trinity School. Any visitor on campus, including parents, must present a valid ID at the Security Guard Gate in the form of a Florida Driver's License. Palmer Trinity's excellent security team will be present at all times monitoring the campus throughout the day. Kindly adhere to the following Restrictions and Responsibility guidelines.
  • Restrictions and Responsibility

    Do not allow your child to bring toys, squirt guns, trading cards, or weapons of any kind or electronic devices (unless required for a course). No illegal drugs or alcohol are permitted on the premises. Kindly label everything! We will provide a lost and found and any items not retrieved will be donated to charity at the end of the course. Palmer Trinity School is not responsible for any lost items. Parents and students are responsible for communicating any concerns or pick up/drop off changes in advance. Students will not be allowed to deter from their daily schedule unless a written request is presented in advance.
  • Medical

    All participants must bring in a copy of their current Immunization forms. Palmer Trinity staff, as well as certified instructors, are certified in CPR/First Aid and the school is equipped with AED units. Water is provided throughout the campus during all course hours. Please bring a refillable water bottle. If your child needs to take medication during the course of the day, please adhere to the following guidelines:
    • Parents and/or Guardians must inform and meet with an Enrichment staff member to fill out a Medical Authorization Form and Physical Evaluation Form in person.
    • Medication must be brought by the Parents and/or Guardians and given to an Enrichment staff member to be given to the Nurse’s office to be administered at specified times. Place the child's medication in the original medical container and in a Ziploc bag with their first and last name clearly marked with a permanent marker.
    • If you believe your child's medical condition requires additional consideration, please do not hesitate to contact Kristine Rodriguez, Director of Auxiliary Programs at krrodriguez@palmertrinity.org
