PTPA PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Happy 2012 to everyone. I am sure that, like so many of us, your family is wondering how we are already considering our summer plans! By now, our new 6th graders have really settled in to their daily routines with new friends, while the Class of 2012 is looking ahead to new experiences and making plans that are surely tinged with bittersweet excitement.
Through May, our calendar of events will begin with the wonderful Sandy Golf and Tennis tournament on January 30. Proceeds from this tournament supports financial aid. Join as a golf or tennis player or join us after for the lunch and auction. This will be followed by the amazing February 25 International Festival, a day of global food, music, and fun - be sure to bring your appetite because the committee has confirmed food booths from 32 different countries! On April 16, our Book Fair will host Carl Hiassen, a beloved local author of both adult and children's books. In addition, there will be several community service events, PTPA General Meetings, Teacher Appreciation lunches, and Fine Arts events to attend. As always, keep looking at the school calendar for the latest updates.
As we like to remind our parent community, the PTPA is open to your ideas and suggestions, so please keep them coming. We are only an email or a phone call away.
