Prieto and Gonzalez Honored by Miami Herald
Congratulations go out to Palmer Trinity Volleyball Player Paulina Prieto and Head Volleyball Coach William Gonzalez who were both honored by the Miami Herald on Friday. Prieto was selected as the Volleyball Player of the Year for Miami-Dade while Gonzalez was named as the Volleyball Coach of the Year for 2009-10.
Prieto, a rising junior, and Gonzalez each received these same honors a year ago, making for an impressive and rare repeat. Prieto helped lead the Falcons to their second consecutive District Championship while Coach Gonzalez has built Palmer Trinity into one of the top high school volleyball programs in the state.
Palmer Trinity senior Kristen Titley was also recognized as one of the top scholar athletes in South Florida after receiving 1st team honors in volleyball while also excelling in a very rigorous course of study at PTS.
Congratulations to Paulina, Coach William and Kristen on their much deserved honors!
