The 12th Annual International Festival was a popular event this year, as always. This festival celebrates the school’s vibrant multicultural community and highlights an ongoing commitment to global sustainability and environmental initiatives. On Saturday, February 25th, 2012, under beautiful South Florida skies, visitors enjoyed savory food choices and worldwide handicrafts from more than 50 unique food, student and vendor booths. Furthermore, many of our community service organizations were on display, giving students the opportunity to sign up for a variety of community service initiatives. For entertainment, guests benefited from jazz, classical and rock music performances, creative arts activities, and dance and theatrical performances on the main stage in our school courtyard. The main event of the day, our International Parade of Flags, which featured flags from more than 70 nationalities, was led by both Middle and Upper School students as it wound its way through the PTS courtyard. Here at Palmer Trinity School, we are excited to be able to offer this wonderful day to more than 1,000 guests from both our own school family and the greater community. Proceeds from the event support Palmer Trinity School’s commitment to multicultural initiatives and diversity, as well as our longstanding relationship with a Colombian children’s organization, Fundacion Nutrainfantil.
