Laptop Program The laptop program has been an integral part of the education process at Palmer Trinity for over 12 years. In an effort to maintain the effectiveness of this program,
all students (grade 6 – 12) are required to purchase or lease a laptop from Palmer Trinity.
- Students with lease agreement expiring in 2011 or with laptops over three years old need to purchase or lease the school approved laptop.
- Laptops with expiring leases must be returned to the Techzone (room 123) by May 27, 2011. It is recommended that students backup their information prior to turning in their laptops.
- The selected laptop is the ThinkPad Lenovo X-220-Tablet PC. The unit carries a three-year warranty for parts, labor, and accidental damage. Palmer will also offer an optional 4th year labor and accidental damage coverage. Loss or theft is not covered by the school therefore it is recommended you add the laptop to your homeowner’s insurance policy.
- The purchase price of the ThinkPad Lenovo X-220-Tablet PC is $1,800. Two-year lease is available. For more information login to our PTS website (www.palmertrinity.org/laptop), Laptop Program.
- Lease or purchase agreements must be returned to the Business Office by June 1, 2011. Payment is due upon receipt of purchase agreement.
- All new students must sign up for a 90 minute training class by June 1st, 2011. A parent or guardian must attend with the student. Classes are held August 1st - August 12th, 2011. Laptops are distributed during training class. Please contact the TechZone at (305) 259-1111 for scheduling. Returning students are not required to attend a training class and can pick up their laptops from the Techzone in August.
