New Student Exchange Program in Spain

PTS is glad to announce a new student exchange program with Colegio Marista Champagnat in the Spanish city of Salamanca. PTS is offering a phenomenal opportunity for rising 10th graders who are willing to expand and enhance their Spanish language skills.

This exchange program will be implemented during the next academic year 2008-2009. Sophomores from Palmer Trinity will travel to Salamanca to start classes at the beginning of September and will return to Miami before winter break. During the second semester, students from Salamanca will enroll at Palmer Trinity to stay until the end of the academic year. In order to be eligible for this program, students must have a strong oral and written command of Spanish since all courses will be taught in this language. As this is our first experience, we will limit the number of students selected to a maximum of two. Those interested in participating in this program will submit an essay explaining the reasons for their candidacy and the benefits they will gain from this experience. The parent must also agree to host a Spanish student during the second semester. A committee composed of teachers will be in charge of the selection process. The deadline to submit the essay is May the 9th. For more information or questions contact Mrs. Laura Massa at lmassa@palmertrinity.org or at 305-969-4289.
